Indications:

For Asthma (15 years and above):
Prevention and long-term treatment of adult asthma, including prevention of daytime and nighttime asthmatic symptoms.
Treatment of aspirin-sensitive asthmatics.
Prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction.
For Allergic Rhinitis (15 years and above):
Relief of symptoms caused by seasonal allergic rhinitis and perennial allergic rhinitis.

Administration:

Take one tablet (10 mg) once a day. Asthmatic patients should take it before bedtime. Patients with allergic rhinitis can take the medicine as needed according to their own conditions. 

Patients with both asthma and allergic rhinitis should take the medicine every night. 

Adult patients aged 15 years and above with asthma and/or allergic rhinitis take once a day, 10 mg each time.

General Recommendations

Evaluate treatment efficacy based on asthma control indicators; therapeutic effects appear within 1 day of starting medication.

Can be taken with or without food.

Patients should continue taking the medication regardless of whether asthma is controlled or exacerbated.

Special Populations:

No dose adjustment is required for elderly patients, patients with renal insufficiency, patients with mild to moderate hepatic impairment, or patients of different genders.

Relationship Between Montelukast Sodium Tablets and Other Asthma Medications

This product can be added to the patient's existing treatment regimen.

Reduction of Concomitant Medication Dosage:

Bronchodilators

For asthmatics inadequately controlled by bronchodilators alone, adding this product to the regimen may allow gradual reduction of bronchodilator dosage based on clinical response (typically evident after the first dose) and patient tolerance.

Inhaled Corticosteroids

For asthmatics receiving inhaled corticosteroids, adding this product may allow gradual reduction of corticosteroid dosage under medical guidance. Some patients may gradually reduce the dose until complete discontinuation of inhaled corticosteroids.Do not abruptly replace inhaled corticosteroids with this product.
